Kota Kinabalu..where my heart belongs...

I am trully in love with this beautiful place
As a Malaysian..I'm so proud of my country to have such a beautiful place..
I'm sure the Sabahan is much more prouder than me to call Sabah as their home..

The travelling date was December 2009..
It has been a while.. I'm sure KK is even better now..
I actually went there for my dear friend's wedding..
thanx to her invitation now i know how beautiful KK is..

Helmi and Nurbani's wedding.. thanx guys!

As l like to tell my friends about KK
I always described it as a "perfect package"
Why? because whatever u need is there!

If you are a nature lover this is a perfect place for you...
KK offers you a lot of mother nature adventures..
Especially climbing the highest mountain in Asia... Mount Kinabalu..
Unfortunately i did not get the chance to climb the mountain but i surely hope one day I'll get the chance!!

by the way this is not mount kinabalu.. hehehehe!!

Besides the magnificent mountain.. and spectacular views
KK also have a lot of recreational places like Poring Hot Spring.. Waterfall.. Islands
Due to my short travelling period i didnt get the chance to go to the island.. :(

But i manage to visit a lot of interesting place such as the Hot Spring.. the Waterfall and Kinabalu Park.. Soooooo nnniiiiiccceeeeee!!!!!

Not only the nature.. even the town is nice too..
I stayed at Promenade Service Apartment..
Not the big one but the small one... it's at the shop lots..
You might think that the place is scary coz the corridor is actually a bit scary for me at first but the room is soooo cozy and nice!
they even have kitchen! so for those of you who likes to cook u can try this apartment..
the hotel is only a walking distance to the Philippine market..
and it's about 15 minutes drive from the airport.. so near!

As for the Philippine market they mostly sell things like souvenirs.. dried salty seafood like udang kering.. ikan kering.. ikan bilis.. ( i bought some)
They also sell pearls... if you are a pearl fan u should go there..
but beware! inside the Philippine market also have a lot of pickpockets!
so make sure ladies please becareful with your handbags ya?
in front of the Philippine market they have a lot of stalls.. try the coconut! it's so refreshing!

talking about food.. i have no trouble eating there..
the seafood is super nice and super cheap!
but other than that the food is basically the same as in Semenanjung..
not much different.. even at my friend's wedding we ate mostly the same dish for weddings in semenanjung... but the unique part at the wedding was the tarian zapin! I'm sure if my it's my family's event no one dare to dance in front of hundreds of ppl! but they are being a sport my entertaining the guest with the tarian zapin ;)

Sorry guys! for my KK trip i didnt get much to say..
coz i was only there for three days :(
looking forward for the next trip!

From Bali with love...

I'm going to start my travel blog with my most favourite trip ever~!
BALI...

The travelling date was in January 2011..
It's actually around 4 days before Chinese New Year
Did you guys know that travelling before festive day you'll get cheaper rates on almost everything??
That's what happen to my Bali trip...

We stay at Kuta Seaview in Kuta Bali..
We got the villa for only about RM250 per nite! (I'm not joking)
the villa is so cozy and romantic..
it's an ideal place for honeymooners

The walkway to my villa

The room!!!

From my opinion, kuta is one of the most convenient place in Bali.
Everything is in front of your eyes. McDonalds is just in front of my hotel!
and dont worry.. the fast foods there Halal.. and u guys should try their pizza hut!
So nice! 100x more better than our pizza hut here in Malaysia.

We also went to a few places like Ubud, tanah lot and Djimbaran.

Ubud is actually like a huge market selling stuffs like souvenirs, paintings and food
And it is quite cheap too.. ok lah.. not bad..
Since this is a family trip so i got to save a lot actually..
i only brought about RM500 and just spend it on souvenirs. Trust me guys.. i bought a lot!

Pasar Ubud

Tanalot is actually similar like Ubud..
But they sell more paintings than the usual stuff
If you guys are art lover.. this is the place to go
it's definitely cheaper than Kuta area.
We bought a few.. mine was only Rp250,000.. about RM60-RM70

Tanalot

One of the painting shop in Tanalot

Djimbaran is very special..
It is actually a row of of seafood restaurant
The unique thing about Djimbaran is that the dining tables are organized facing the beach
and you should go there for dinner but not too late or you'll miss the sunset!
Unfortunately on the day that we went it was so windy! and it rains before the sunset :(
But it was very2 nice.. once again a suitable candle light dinner for honeymooners..
But! the food is actually quite pricey.. it cost us nearly Rp2,000,000!

Djimbaran

The seafood

Balinese are very2 polite people..
they are so devoted to their religion and culture which mostly are Hinduism influnce
so it's not surprise to see a lot of decorated flowers along Bali streets..
You should also try the Spa.. they mostly relax you with Frangipani scent..
the price is not too bad.. roughly about Rm100 for head to toe massage with milk bath plus padi and mani
come in big groups! should get better deal!

I would loveeeee to visit Bali again..
Really miss the beauty of the place..the people and the culture there

IntroDuction...
